Branded virtual merchandise such as furniture, food and entertainment
hardware and software can be specifically designed and placed in the Habbo
catalogue for members to purchase. The teenage band SUM41 used branded Habbo
Hotel posters and billboards in combination with an editorial campaign to
promote the release of its new single on March 25. A phenomenal 6,784 Habbo
Hotel members entered the competition, with 6,161 entrants giving their
consent for Mercury Records to market back to them.
